| "How do Website owner get the Money and whats the source!" | | Being an enthusiastic Surfer and a guy-who-wants-to-own-a-website, it makes me wonder how does a website generates revenue that makes it successful or afailure...or simply put how does a website owner get a single penny in his account?.I know of one channel that gives a website owner this ...i.e the Advertising revenues received from popular advertising sites like Google Adsense or a Yahoo Publishing network. But have always wondered answers to few things here:-1. Does the number of clicks on my website have any role to play in generating revneue for my website?
2. Or is it only the revenue i may get from sponsors of the Ads?
3. If number of clicks generates revenue isn't it interesting to know who pays for it?These are some basic queries am sure lot of newbies to website creation may have here ..So lets talk abt these as well as some innovative ways to increase the revenue of one's website too!
| | Does a PTC website owner know if and when you cheat? | | Hi MyLottersAre you a clicker or own a PTC website? I would like to know if they can tell when someone cheats. I guess it would depend on what you mean by cheat though right? I don't mean by using a bot. I mean for instance ...
1. Letting all the items load on the page before you click the next ad. let's face it some of them take ages to load.. like foloo!
2. Deleting opening and closing messages instead of looking at the ad!
3. watch T.V while the ad is being displayed?
4. Use more than 1 P.C and do several sites at the same time?
5. Use tabs on vista to do the same?
6. Use a pop up blocker, they don't just pop up now though.. they pop in, under, over, any which way but loose lol.Is any of this allowed.. or is it cheating? i'd appreciate your feedbackps.. do i?... i'm not telling LOLAlice:D

| I'm a website owner & love it! | | I own a work-at-home-mom (wahm) website called The WAHM Shack. I purchased it from another wahm who previously owned it. I've owned it for about 1 1/2 years and I just love it!I feel very blessed to have an online friend who has been willing to "show me the ropes" as far as managing my website through cPanel, installing databases, teaching me html, etc. Without this friend, I wouldn't have been able to do as much as I have on my site. I'm very grateful for her knowledge and her patience!I find managing my website to be both a challenge and a huge joy! It isn't challenging in a difficult or frustrating way, rather I find I don't always have the time I'd like to have to put into growing it or I don't have the all the html knowledge yet to do things that I'd like to on it...does this make sense? My website does not make me rich by any means, but it has provided me with a small, supplemental income that does help my family out.I think with time, I may be able to market it more efficiently and will be able to do more as I learn more html code and gain more time to work on it.
