My studio version is microsoft visual studio 2005 and fortran is intel (r) fortran compiler 10.0.025.
2. Set environment variables
My computer--> system properties-->advanced-->environmental variables-->use variables for user
Note: The flollowing directories may be different to your computer.
INCLUDE=c:\program files\intel\compiler\fortran\10.0.025\ia32\include;c:\program files\microsoft visual studio 8\VC\include;c:\program files\microsoft visual studio 8\VC\platformSDK\include

Note: I used the same LINK_90 for Fotran 10.0.025 as the same name for compiler fortran 9.1-->system variables

i browsed a lot for the free download.. I even got a solution.. Microsoft itself provides the express edition..
Also, my operating system is Windows xp.. it is not a genuine one.. last time when i attempted for some windows updates, microsoft found out that mine was not a genuine one.. A message was displayed each time i switched on my system..
now am afraid that, if i install microsoft visual c# express edition from microsoft site itself, then it may again find out that my OS is not a genuine one..
Then i may have to reinstall the OS, which i don't want to do...

| [Beginner's question] Why the exe file cannot be opened in all computers? | | I've just started learning C++ programing in my university. To have a easy reference to my textbook, I use Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.Of course, to start learning a programming language, the first program is usually the HelloWorld program. I'm no exception. I've learnt Pascal and thus, this is easy to me and a exe file is generated successuflly in the first time. It ran successfully in my computer.However, when I move the file to another computer, the file cannot be run successfully, with the error message telling me that some setting of my program is wrong, asking me to reinstall the program. (which is of course impossible...)The file path: C:\...\HelloWorldProject\debug\HelloWorldProject.exeThe only way out is to use the source code to compile the program again in that computer. However, the exe file compiled there also cannot be run in other computer. In other words, due to unknown reason(s), the exe file is machine dependent!As far as I know, C++ is not a machine dependent programming language. So, what's wrong with my file? How can I compile a file that is machine independent? | |
