Talk about the web you love here!| Adobe Creative Suite 4 on the horizon | | Looks like Adobe Creative Suite 4 is scheduled for shipping on October 15. I can imagine how much more expensive it'll be, but as I look at the features of some like Dreamweaver, I am very much excited with the release. I love the new box designs. Any Adobe fans planning to upgrade? | |
| | | | Macbook air | | The Macbook air is a designing feat, being the world's thinnest laptop ever. Measuring in at about .90 of an inch, the Macbook air can't have the power of a desktop, or even a good laptop, right? If you travel a ton, and don't mind losing your laptop in a small stack of papers, the macbook air might seem like a possibility to consider, but if you don't mind the already thin Macbook or Macbook pro, go for the Macbook or Macbook pro.Buying a Macbook air means forfeiting many features, including a major step back in processing power, a step down in hard drive space, A hard to replace battery, and a CD slot! Having to plug in a large external disc drive sort of loses the whole "Super portable" effect. The processing power is a mere 1.6 - 1.8 Ghz, the hard drive a small 64 - 80 GB (depending onn which processing power you choose, the smaller processing power for the bigger hard drive), and the CD slot is external, costs an extra $99 AND is not as thin as the notebook. The Powerbook goes from 2.4 to 2.6 Ghz of processing power, and up to a 300 GB hard drive. The macbook has 2.1 to 2.4 Ghz of power, way better, a whole 0.8 Ghz of power bonus on average.Sure, the macbook air can... | |

| | iMac with Leopard | | The New iMac is amazing, from it's aluminum outside, down to the core, where the computer really does it's thinking. From the basics, like USB 2.0, firewire, mail, and headphone jack, to the stunning built in camera, huge hard drive, 20 or 24 inch display, and sleek design. Now though, with intel on the mac's side instead of IBM, the mac can do more then ever before. Windows runs on intel chips, so your new mac can run windows. Windows will run at or close to native speed, just choose which os you want to use at startup! Also, each os will use a partition of the hard drive, so no one could even tell your mac was running windows just by looking at it. Also, Windows is easy to install, there are programs like parallels, that run leopard and windows side by side, or you could just use bootcamp to create a partition of your hard drive, and install windows just like you would install it on a normal pc. The mac comes pre-loaded with the basics, like Mail, Ichat, preview, and more, but the iLife '08 suite just sweetens the deal! Within the iLife '08 suite, there is iMovie, iDVD, Garageband, iWeb and iPhoto, all easy and fun to use. The mac also comes equipped with apple's newest os,... | |
