| | Who Likes To Save On Long Distance Calls? | | I know I do! There is a new product available since early last year which guarantees that you can save a lot . It is very easy to use and install. I am just wondering who have tried it and if it really does work. Can someone let us know if it is really effective? For those who have not heard of it below is an excerpt from PC Magazine By Oliver Rist
Those commercials advertising cheap voice-over-IP (VoIP) phone rates look appealing, but there's always some fine print: You have to switch cable-TV providers, install a VoIP-smart Internet router, or something. And you end up ticked once a month when the bill from MCI, Verizon, or some other telecom robber baron dips into your wallet. If this sounds like your bio, the YMax magicJack is for you: 2 minutes of setup, voice quality that's almost indistinguishable from a straight analog POTS line, and a cost of just under $20 a year for unlimited nationwide service. When I was testing it in December 2007, the service offered phone numbers in about 90 percent of the country. International calling wasn't available at test time, though it should be in the next few months. Pricing will be determined based upon phone rates at that time, though... | |
| | How expensive do you use internet in your coutry?? | | In China, I spend 1400 RMB a year for unlimited using the network service. The speed is about 1M/s. I here from my classmate who has been to Austria that it's very expensive to use the internet in Europe. They pay by bytes. Is that true? | |
| | | Mother staged a fake arrest for her five year old son | | I am disappointed to read the news of a mother from Florida who staged a fake arrest for her five year old son just because he was playing with match sticks. She justifies her action to be right which would help to reduce crime. Local people are supporting the mother's action and some even said that this is the best way to teach children. What do you think? Is it a way to control your child? | |
| | Naughty smile of a three year old boy... | | My three year old son is trying to hide his naughty smile... My son and I were in a party.I let my son played with other kids there while I talked and chatted with some adults there. After a few minutes, I stood up and checked on my son. I saw him smiling but trying to control and hide it by covering his mouth. And then went to me after he saw me standing and looking at him.I asked, what is that naughty smile? Then he pointed the boy whos wearing a cap. He said, you see that boy wearing a cap, mom? He ran and his cap fell... So? I asked. Then he laughed. He said, the boy was wearing a cap because he has no hair! I was surprise, he said... He is bald, he continued. Then laughed again with his little hands on his mouth (covering his smile)... Well, I did not scold him for I saw the innocense on him. I just corrected him that it is a hair cut style -- clean cut... Then he said... Ah!!! But mom I don't like a hair cut like that. My comb will be sad...[em]sad[/em] And this time he looks serious... His last statement made me laugh too![em]lol[/em]Any conversation with your little kid like that too? Please share...If an adult or a teenager said this kind... | |
| | | Is it easy to leave someone whom you have loved or married for more than 10 year | | Recently, my good friend had to leave her husband after more than 10 years of marriage and have 2 young children with him. Although her husband was a honest man who doesn't gamble, smoke, drinks alcohol or womanise, she decided to file for a divorce. She found that her husband simply could not communicate, understand her or do much to help her with household chores. Luckily, my friend is a very capable woman who could juggle her work at the office, household chores, fetch her kids to and from their schools and see to their needs. Her husband cried when she told her husband of the divorce for he knew that she is the most faithful, hardworking and capable woman he can ever find. My friend told me that she has to be strong and live a life which she deserves instead of suffering quietly deep inside her. Many people just coukdn't understand why she waited until now to leave her husband for she has admirers who are professionals who likes her. But my friend stays faithful for her children sake till they can understand why she had to file for divorce. Do you think it is easy to leave to leave someone you loved or had married for 10 years? | |
| | | Dammit!! Should I Graduate or Stay an Extra Year?!?!**Advice Needed!!** | | I'm confused on whether or not to graduate this year. If I graduate I'll finally be living at home for sure after four years that went by super fast. The problem with that is that I get bored at home.Pros:I'll be able to increase my GPA, get Professor Recommendations by forming relationships, and getting Internships. Recs and GPA matters for grad. school and Internships are important for jobs, because jobs usually require experience.Cons: About staying another year is that it'll cost me $4000 out of my own pocket, despite the free money I get for grants. I won't be able to take care of my dad. I would have to find a new place to live in. Not sure what I'm going to take next year. I don't know what I'd be able to do with another social science major.Currently I have: International Studies MajorI could possibly double major in political science, anthropology, or sociology. So I'm really confused. What would you do if you were me? Would you stay an extra year or would you just graduate and try and look for a job with what you(I) have. | |
